John Coletti grew up in the small New England town of Swampscott on the Atlantic seaboard. It was 10 miles north of the city of Boston, where he went to school at the Art Institute of Boston and later opened a photography studio in the city. He worked with corporations, design firms, advertising agencies, and developed a passion for photographing architecture. He has won awards through the ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers) for his portrait and location work.
Looking for a change and a warmer climate, he moved to Saint Petersburg, Florida in 2004 and began working with local businesses, and started to concentrate on more editorial and travel related work. This work has become popular with publishers, advertisers, and as wall art. After many years of travelling around the world, he is starting to appreciate the landscapes and natural wonders of Florida and the culture of the Southern states of the USA. This northern boy is finally being won over by the charms of the South.
