Leonardo is a landscape photographer from Tuscany. As a child, he tried to spend as much time as possible in nature. Growing older, through photography he found the perfect means to transmit his passion for nature to others. He has won prizes in many international nature photography contests including The Montphoto Awards, The International Landscape Photographer of the Year and the Memorial Maria Luisa Photo Competition.
Inspired by the images of Vincent Munier, Fortunato Gatto and Cristobal Serrano, he aims to combine his years of field experience with a carefully developed photographic technique that ingrains a deep emotion in his images whilst telling a natural history story. His images are crafted in the field and enhanced with a distinct processing style to achieve a fascinating vison of nature.
He spends most of his time leading workshops in Italy and other European countries. At home in remote mountains, it is the Arctic that provides his greatest inspiration and fulfils his career-long quest to shoot the Aurora Borealis
