Catherina Unger is a German travel photographer based in Cinque Terre, Italy where she runs her own travel agency. She principally photographs off-route and interesting parts of Africa and her beloved adopted country – Italy.
Her pictures have been published in many calendars, guide books, travel and lifestyle magazines including Vanity Fair and National Geographic. She has published a photographic book about the Cinque Terre.
Photography is her way to express herself. She uses her camera to tell the stories of the exotic countries and people that she encounters. She finds beauty everywhere. Through her pictures she aims to record something familiar even in the exotic and unveil the marvels of the world and its creatures.
In her free time Catherina loves to hike, exploring nature, and the great outdoors.
