Originally from Kent in the UK, Ian Trower, traded the Garden of England for the warmer climes of Asia where he has been for over 20 years. Being based in Hong Kong for more than a dozen years has enabled him to photograph the city from all aspects, as well as being a great jumping off point for nearby Asian countries - Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia and Laos being his favourites.
Using the travel imagery of Peter Adams as an early influence, Ian has honed his style to include travel lifestyle, landscapes, cityscapes, architecture and hotels.
Clients include Lonely Planet, Sunday Times Travel Magazine, National Geographic Traveller, Sofitel Hotels and Singapore Airlines.
Ian currently runs workshops in Hong Kong to explore hidden spots in the city and share advice about improving composition and making travel pictures. Ian is a primary school teacher when he is not out and about shooting.
